yeah i was wondering vortech makes a 6-8 psi s trim for my 93 and a higher boost i believe 10-12... i oviously want the larger :hammer: whats your boost around??
Forget about the amount of "boost" for a moment.
First, if an engine flows better (bigger HCI) you will see less "boost" but make more power.
Second, if the "boost" is more efficient, you will make more power from the same amount (which is why turbos make so much more power on less "boost")
What you need to look at is the ability of the blower to provide a certain CFM of air and how efficiently it can do that (without making heat).
A Rotrex at 6-8 pounds will make significantly more power (and a better curve) than an S-Trim at 6-8 pounds. You'll see that when we get the dyno sheet on the Cobra.
You can pulley these things up just like any other blower and make as much boost as you want. That doesn't necessarily mean the car will go faster.
The cool thing here is that we will have results from, both, a stock Cobra and from Jeff's car which has a built motor . . so you will be able to see what I'm talking about with the amount of boost dropping with a better flowing engine.
And . . Matt . . you would like this a lot better than a KB
