And the engine is in. Have a lot to put back on but that was the heavy lifting. Now headers etc. I’m not looking forward to that part but it’ll be worth it.

It rained yesterday which put a cramp on working. Running into some issues with the headers, O2 Sensors, steering shaft, and crappy placement. Gotta take the drivers side back down to make the steering shaft clear then I can start moving to other parts.

Lol. Well lwarrior1016 was a godsend on this one. Had an engine, lost an engine, found an engine. He picked it up for me because it was close to him and with some finesse and some hiccups, made it into this 2v PI beauty it is.

Lwarrior has a nasty engine build twerk! The boy shuffles his hands at anything and greatness appears! Sort of like magic! He is what we in the business call damn good!

Exactly!! [emoji1417][emoji108][emoji122]. Maybe we need to change his handle to EngineMaster

Gotta give credit where it’s due. I think it should still fit in the car though.

I did forget something to add I’ve been working on too. Wanted different.

This is the color... once it’s done

This is what I’ve also been working on. Honestly, I suck at this. I think I’d rather fight with the headers 2 more times than deal with this. I will try my best and hope it comes out pretty well.

You can separate the upper and lower door panels. You have to heat up and melt the plastic welds or drill them. Then you can properly wrap that panel and use heat to get a good stretch to get the wrinkles out. Once done you can put the panels back together with a good strong epoxy.

Yep. Did that with the last set but had to toss em because the previous owner of this one left me with only one fricking tab to hold the panel up on the drivers side. The passenger side had none. I was wondering why they flapped like that. Was trying to take a less evasive route this time but maybe I’ll that way. I swear the photos don’t do justice to how bad he’s done this car.

Finally headers are in, starting to put everything back together. Still have some cleaning up to do too.

The alternator kicked the bucket and battery is now bad and the fuel pump was bad which I told these people a year and a half ago. Changed that. Now there seems to be another issue to where it’s getting to the fuel rail. The injectors all work but seem to be clogged. I’m gonna rebuild them though.

There’s also this:

From the time I’ve gotten it the car has always been missing this vacuum line connection. I need to repair it and I have these that are connected to the TB and fuel pressure regulator but I need to figure out how to make these connect. Anyone ever dealt with this?

Geez this bad boy is giving me the blues. I am hoping no more unpleasant surprises.
