The weather was good so I was able to get this installed.
Pulled the front wheels up on ramps and jacked the back up as high as my full race Daytona jack would go. Put stands under the axle, more on that later.
Sacrificed 2 sawzall blades cutting the stock pipe and a couple of the hangers. Getting the stock hangers out of the rubber hangers was a pain in the rear. Silicone spray and channel locks did the trick.
The short muffler sections were a no brainer. The over the axle sections were a bit tricky but not bad. I did have to remove the shocks and the horizontal shock, not sure what that is called. I then had to put the jack back under the car and move the stands to the body side of the suspension link and let the axle hang. Got everything loose fit then aligned and tightened the flat flanges between sections. Put everything in the hangers and tightened up the ball/socket joint at the mid pipe. Both tips were not centered and about that time my son showed up and we loosened the mid pipe joint and rotated the pipes into center. The divers side pipe sticks out slightly more than the passenger side. To fix that I would have to [pull the muffler section, cut, and shorten it. Probably going to live with it for $215. The rest of the fit under the car looks good, enough clearance to the suspension links and body. No leaks.
No for that part you have all been waiting for..
The sound is what I was hoping for. A bit louder but not too loud. Went for a 45min drive with wife in the evening and she did not complain. Under cruise it is not any louder than stock except for a touch of drone at 70mph (2K with my gears/tires). Under acceleration it sounds way more gooder. The before after videos came out OK but not great. My phone Db meter said 92ish before and 94ish after at cruise.
Butt dyno says maybe some gain but it is very likely placebo from the sound.
How do I post the video clips? It wont let me post a .mov.
