Two things
1. You're tired of messing with it
2. Having serious valvetrain noise.

I have no idea what your car is worth but if you plan on getting top dollar for it you'll have to fix the valvetrain noise.

Chuy said:
If I was you I would sit on it for about a month. Don’t drive it, don’t look at it, nothing. Drive it again in a month and see if you want to still get rid of it.

Michael and Chuy are on point with my feelings.
If I were in your shoes, I'd give it a break. Rarely does much good come from a decision that wasn't pondered if time isn't pressing.

This is the likely scenario if it were me.
I'd walk away from it for a while. If I was still in the mood to sell it later, I'd decide to look at the cause of the noise. Short of major probs, I'd fix the noise so perspective buyers didn't have a valid haggle point.
Then with the noise gone, I'd fall back in love with it and not sell it.

If I sold it, in retrospect I think I'd find it left a hole in my heart.

It would take one helluva good offer for me to sell my '95 after working so long to make it "just so." It's your car and your choice, however.

Question: What roll bar is in the car, and do you have any pictures with the top down? I've been waffling for years on adding one to my car so I can run it at the track on occasion.
Maximum Motorsports 4 Point (Welded) and I'll get ya a pic when I get a chance

I am contemplating whether or not I should sell my 95 GT Vert 5spd and upgrade to a 2016+ GT. So with that said, she runs but I'm having serious valve train noise issues and I am tired of messing with it honestly.
Originally purchased for $4250 a couple years back and I just wanted to know what you all think she's worth now with all the upgrades. Much appreciated! View attachment 14473

I've been watching prices of the 2nd gen Coyote cars (s550's) and they are crazy now too. Even with 100k on them people are asking high 20s low 30s around here. I only see ones that have a rebuilt or salvage title under $20k.

I bought my 17 gt in January 2019 for 30k with 3Xxxx miles. It was a little high at that time but even now it’s got 50k miles on it and I can get what I paid and then some of I wanted. It’s just nuts.

@95_GTS do you have any other car/toy you can scratch your itch with?

Just curious because for me when I get an itch to drive something newer with more comfort I just jump on my expedition or sometimes my f150.

I have a corsa exhaust on my truck. Sound system with double din, upgraded speakers and sub box. I have some cool mods on it that makes me enjoy driving it and I can still haul and tow stuff around like it’s meant to do. I bounce back and forth between it and the mustang but I think I spend more time driving the mustang.

An important factor for me is that they are both paid for. I wouldn’t acquire a monthly vehicle payment at this moment. I’m enjoying my money too much at this time.
