How much do they make a noticeable difference? How do you know what size to get?

The guy i bought my car from put a HUGE 75MM tb on the car, with stock intake and heads, so it doesnt do much if you have restrictive stock everything else. it would be like trying to breathe through a straw, with it connected to a dryer hose at the other end, it doesnt matter what you have at first (air intake size) its all about the last air intake pieces (heads & intake). weird anology, but it made sense to me in my head.. haha. just save up and get heads. GT40s even you can buy for pretty cheap.

for your 4.6 it will give a few hp when combined with the upper elbow. If you had a PI swap or at least the intake you might get a few more hp from it. Having a coldair kit might help too. I had the 70mmTB and the K&N upper elbow on my 98GT.

I wouldnt go over 70mm unless you were going with a blower or turbo.

I bought a 75mm but only cause I knew I was getting a blower within a year. I bought a MAC at first cause it was way cheaper. It was crap and would always stick. A week later I sold it at a loss and bought an Accufab. Much better.

I had a BBK 70mm throttle body and plenum on my mustang
and I think was a waste of money because I only noticed a small
gain if any in the higher rpm's.Although I did like my BBK throttle body
it was of good quality and worked very well.I too had the Mac throttle
body before and the POS would stick on me all the time so,I had to change
it.Just avoid the Mac throttle body at all costs.I heard of people losing low
end torque N/A useing 75mm throttle bodies on the 4.6L cars so,I would get
a 70mm throttle body if you are N/A.

I put Accufab 75MM TB/Plenum on my swapped 98 auto. I picked up a lot of MPH at the track but didn't notice any seat of the pants differences in power. I have cams and longtube headers also, so that helped considerably.

Darn. This is the combo I was seriously considering getting for my N/A stang and hoping in addition to the PI cams and intake, that it would make a semi-noticable difference. For about 300 or so for the pair, it should.

I had the same combo as you and I added the BBK plenum and throttle body
I though it was a waste of money because I didn't see much of a gain if any.
If I had to do it all over again I would have spend my money elsewhere.
