You know that 4 inch spring that goes from your throttle cable mounting plate to the throttle body, do you need that? or is it just to help the weak spring on the stock tb to cloase the throttle blade again? I noticed mines not there and haven't had any problems.

That spring has to be there. You can get it at auto zone or pepboys in the HELP! section. Just get a regular old throttle return spring got mine for like 2 bux if you get it from ford its like 15 bux!!!!!

I would definatly invest in that spring, It's nice to have a backup. Seems to me the factory (circular) spring doesnt have to much tension. Agree with redripper, HELP section.

It's your throttle return spring and it's there to close the butterfly back so it doesn't have a chance in ever getting stuck open. Not a real neccesity but you should have one on there. If you use one to thick and for a lot of tension then your throttle pedal will be firm.
