when i am shifting into any gear it seems to me that the throttle sticks. i clutch it and the RPM's just stay where they were. i tap the throttle and it comes down. could this be the throttle sticking? what you all think?

yah...

its a sensor...

It could be the do-dad that controls idle...

Sorry... I know what the problem is cause I got the same one with a pick-up with a 302... I ain't good with sensors and wires...

yea could be the IAC being dirty or check your timing bro...when i first got my motor built and everything installed I totally forgot about timing in wanting to start and drive the car. I dunno what it was set at but it was way too low for what we usually run 10 - 14 degrees it'll feel very UNresponsive.
