I got some red bulbs, so I went ahead and put them on. They're not finished--I'll either wetsand or get them cleared... whichever is the smaller pain in the ass.
But here's what they look like right now. I think they look awesome lit up.

Yeah, I wan gonna get my rims coated something dark-not black necessarily.

I decided on 'black chrome'... kinda in between the AFS black chrome, and the 'hyperblack' you see on Saleens. The powdercoater has been dicking me around for about a month now, so I don't know when they'll actually get done.

dicking you around? that sounds...painful, JK haha. Good choice on the Black chrome, personally i think hyperblack is dirty looking, too understated. Any plans for wingless/new spoiler? I wasnt a big fan of the gold at first but w/ the dark accents i think itll look sexy. Those mirrors are :rice: though man, whats the deal on those??

Story on the mirrors is... a year or 2 ago my driver's side got cracked in an freeze-over one night... at the time I didn't think they'd look bad, and I spent less on both of them than I would have on a new factory mirror. I have a new oem mirror now though, so that'll be going on soon.

The process was simple.
1. Find a pair of the ugly-ass clear taillights
2. Clean thoroughly
3. Spray up to 15-20 VERY light coats of Nite Shades, waiting a couple minutes in between.
4. Let sit overnight
5. Get them cleared
6. Buy red taillight bulbs (got mine from mrtaillight.com)

Good enough? There really wasn't anything unusual or hard about it.
