Right now my car is lowered and the stock 17" wheels i believe are rubbing when i turn and i was wondering if i put my 18" cobra r's on there what can i do to make it where it doesnt rub the fenders? Besides the obvious raising the car back to stock. Thanks

You're rubbing on stock 245/17's?
Something isn't right.

yeah, you shouldnt rub stock...and if you get the right size tire, the stock wheels and those cobras will be the same height. as in you will have a smaller sidewall.

yeah, I agree you should not rub at all with 17" wheels unless they are aftermarket with a jacked up offset. You will be fine with the 18" wheels as long as you remember to get the right offset.

my 96 gt has 18x9 inch rims with 24mm backspacing all the way around, and it is lowered 2 inches. on the front i have 245/40zr18, and on the back 275/35zr18. they sit 25.7 inches tall(just like a 245/45zr17, or a 275/40zr17, or 315/35zr17, or 225/55zr16, or a 205/65r15). a 275/35zr18 will set 25.6 to 25.7 inches tall(depending on the tire). just be prepared to empty your pocket book more. if you havent checked they are higher than 17s.
