1980ish or not...im in college and the budget just won't allow for it

ahh so you have sucky circumstances to deal with......sorry about that. Well since you are stuck with the 16's I use to run Dunlop Sport 8000's on my old pony wheels, they are good tires and hook pretty well for a street tire. They are not real high in price either so they would be a nice choice.

BFG make great tires but they are a bit pricey.
