top speed?

does anyone know what the top speed of our cars is? my speedo is off since i got 373 in my 94 stang but i have had that thing pegged at 150mph and it felt like it was still pulling.

Same here, what were the stock gears in your car. It will never be dead on anymore because the highest speedo gear they made was for 3.55. Not sure on the top speed, its going to depend on the gear ratio, tire size, how much power your making and the aerodynamics of our cars so couldnt tell you. Chances are it being off you were probably going like 130-140. I have had my speedo pointing straight down and it still pulling but then again I have 3.90s and a 3.08 speedo gear so Im not sure how fast I was actually going.

With my stock gears I hit ~145 and it was still pulling. I am sure the stock speedo is pretty inaccurate, but thats what it said.

my car is bone stock. automatic with 3:27 gears. at 115 with the pedal to the floor it shits into overdrive and i had my foot through the floor board pretty much for what seemed like forever and i finally hit 125, it just didn't want to climb hardly at all. don't know if there's something wrong with my car or not

motor trend did an article on this with a mustang (94) and five other cars. they got the stang up to 150 but after that wind resistance was too much for it.

Ive had mine up to 130 and it was pulling. But honestly a stock stang MIGHT see 140. No more then that its only a 220 horse motor.

i think i have read somewhere that a stock 94-95 5.0 5 speed will max out at 138mph. i just dont know if thats correct. it seems it should be higher?

motor trend did some aero work on the cars like masking off gaps around headlights and the like. so completely stock 140 would be it likely
