TPS TEC Throttle Enhancement Calibrator

OK, So Last night my car Craps out on me, couldn't get it to start. I had it towed to my mechanic and he has a look at it. Well turns out the previous owner had plugged some TPS spoof into it and that was my problem. Has anyone ever used these things?? I figure it was like the Venom 400 type of gimmick. The car doesn't seem like it lost any power with the module removed. ???
