Hi I'm planning on buy a manual transmission and all the related parts for manual swap for my 94 GT and guy sent me a picture of what he thinks is a output seal. He also thinks it's an Tremec instead of a T5 but I don't know for sure by the casting number on the tail case. Wondering if someone can verify whether or not its an Tremec or T5 and if its just the ouput seal? Thanks in advance!

There are other numbers on the side of the transmission, plus a tag that should still be there too.

That's the only photo's he sent I did find some posts online from different forums with pictures of the transmission itself with the same casting numbers I'm going to see if the guy can send more pictures of the transmission tomorrow. I'm wanting to verify beforehand if I can so I can hopefully get all the parts I'll need at the same time.

According to some sources, the 1352-249 tag indicates the Ford Motorsports "T5z" transmission, which was specially built for racing applications. The same sources indicate that 1352-251 is the same transmission as a 1352-249, except assembled by Tremec after Borg-Warner stopped production.

And that thing would have the 0.63 5th gear in it too. Sorry can't help with what you're describing but it doesn't sound too promising.
