hi guys i have a 94gt and my tranny went on it. i have a tranny from a 1989 will this tranny work in my car?
i have looked over both of them and there almost the same. the 89 has a plug in on the drop and the 94 doesn't
any info will be great thank.

If you're talking a 5 speed...it won't work. The input shaft on the 89's tranny is 5/8ths of an inch shorter than the SN-95s

I have a TKO for sale . . freshly rebuilt. Its set up for a 94/95 and has a McLeod SFI Bellhousing and a Steeda Triax. Lemme know if your interested.

Is the input shaft good on the 94 tranny? If it is you can just switch the input shafts and bearing retainers. Then your good to go.

thanks i just changed the input shafts she should work good now right. what about the sensour on the top of the tranny?

I believe it is the neutral safety switch...the older models had it on the top of the case. Just leave it in and unplugged you should be fine.

You wont need the drive shaft spacer. If you switched to the 94 input shaft and the 94 bellhousing that is all you need. No spacers or anything. The difference in the trannies is the shaft and bellhousing. So your good to go.

wcngt is correct no spacer needed as long as the input shaft was swaped over along with the 94 bell.....
