[Vermilion96]

I have a 96 gt with a 4r70w and my clutches were fucked so, I decided to just swap the tans bc my buddy had one for the cheap . he was t5 swapping his. The new trans is a 98. I got a 98 trans harness to match and a brand new neutrals safety switch. I started it up for the first time and the only code I have is p0707. which is “transmission range sensor A circuit low”. The car is stuck in limp mode and won’t go out of second gear. I’m lost on what is going on any advice would be appreciated.

I know very little about the auto trans in the sn95 models. What I do know is although the 4r70s are all the same they don't just plug and play between model years.
