transmison fitment

will a auto trans from an 05-09 be able to work on a 94GT? I can get one for free and mine needs to be reubuilt. thought it could be made to work would grab it. thanks in advance

an 05-09 what? A 4.6 has a different bolt pattern from a 5.0. The 3.8 is the same, I assume that includes the 4.0? Not 100% on that. But idk how you're going to control it. A 94 GT ECM is going to expect an AODE under neath, idk anything about v6 autos.

I believe it came out of a V6 05-09. Need to double check. I figured the ecm would be an issue but wasnt sure it that's it. A friend of mine wants out of his garage ad I was figuring can't hurt to see if possible for not a ton of money and work. Ive been quoted 1200 to get my stock one rebuilt so looking into alternatives
