I have a 95 GT, M.T.,trans is done. I'm looking at a 97 v6 trans, does anybody know if it will bolt right up with no modification? I know it's not as strong as a gt trans but I'm on a budget.

You can make the 4r70w work that trans is actually favoured over the aode garbage ... It will bolt right in just like a v6 t5 to a 302 ... I have one for my car that I will be using to build up for my car .

The biggest issue that I see you would have is not having the wiring harness that connects to it, and the ecm in your car isnt programmed to control an auto tranny. You could by a stand alone controller for the tranny, or would be forced to run a full manual valve body, where you shift it just like a manual but without a clutch. Or, another ecm that was designed to control an AOD would be an option also, but there are still a things that still will need to be swapped.

You'll need a pilot bearing for a v6, other that that direct swap.
I don't know why those other guys thought you were going auto? :whip2:

They continued with the T-5 in the V6s through 2010. They switched to the MT-82 in 2011.
