Ok so the T45 in my 96gt just well it exploded and third n fourth gear are no maore. So I'm on the hunt for a working T45, but I have a friend that has a 3650 out of a 2004 Mach1 just laying around. My question is. Will the 3650 bolt up to my 96. And if not what all would I need? And is it even worth it to do the swap or should I just get another T45.

You'll need a speedcal for the Speedo to work but it bolts right up. I'd rather have a T45 though. The TR3650 is notorious for syncro problems.

Don't quote me on everything but I believed the xmember was a but different, and the length of the trans was actually different as well? Speedometer like the others said as well because they went to an electronic For the new edges.

No the crossmember is the same as well as the length. I swapped my car from a T45 to a TR3650. Now on #2 TR3650 and this one is already having syncro problems as well and I dont shift my car hard at all...

What do you mean "exploded"? The 3-4th shift fork is notorious for breaking as well as the selector links, but not normally to cause explosion/total destruction. A few simple tools and replacement parts is all that needed to repair it.
