Transmission swap

I need help. I'm swaping a o4 motor and transmission into my 96 gt. I changed over my fuel r as is and coil packs. Do I US ING My 96 Harness . My problem is my harness going to the 04 transmission is diffrent.

Automatic or manual

Broken and unreadable.

They are different. Manual isnt the same transmission and the auto is different after 98 and changed again slightly in 03. Nothing that can't be over come. We just need more details to guide you the right way.

For simplicity i would use the trans out the 96..

You also need to remember that the speedometer is different. You will need to swap the tail-shaft of your trans into the 04 one.

Going to piggyback this a little bit

My car has a built t-45 from a 01 gt out of it. When i bought it the builder swapped the speedometer gearing. 99/01 T-45s have an electronic speed sensor vs your (and mine) mechanical speedometer. It really wasn't a big deal for him to do with both the transmissions out of the car, but its better to just use your one from your 96 like stated above. or build the one you have out and swap it later.
