Just curious whats the average temperature for our transmissions?

I got the 4r70 Auto in mine, and at times it gets up to about 215, was curious if i should invest in a trans cooler sometime or not.. 4.10 gears probably don't help it any..

A separate trans cooler is always a good investment. The radiator kind of warms the trans fluid rather than cooling it. I don't know right off hand what the regular temp is for our, but I do know that the Allison transmissions run average between 195-205. Then again, they don't over temp until 265. I think 217 is a little bit warm.
