see if you can take it out if the upper will still clear the valve covers. If not then look into getting a 1/2" and it will still fit under the stock hood.

Will do. More than anything, I wish the new mount would fit.

Well, it was a pain but I managed to get that DS mount to sit correctly. I removed the manifold spacer for better clearance and put in a new gasket. I couldn’t get the damn bolts to torque down and after 30 min, it remembered the damn spacer so I had to throw a couple washers on each bolt. It looks fine.
I was finishing up and started to screw on the cai when I attempted to connect the throttle body cable bracket[emoji29]
The TB spacer where the bracket is supposed to hang from is too low! WTH?!!

Edit:
It was an egr delete plate so all I had to do was flip it over so the holes could be higher. However, it doesn’t meet up with the holes now. Could this be a different bracket? It kinda feels like the throttle cable is too long now. I hope it’s just something I’ve overlooked. I haven’t had my lunch yet.

can you get a pic of the tb back a little bit? It looks like its clocked/turned 90 more than its supposed to be. Is this a fox body intake? If so is there the 45 degree elbow in there?

It looks to be a fox setup. The hole the spring is in is for the tv cable.

I flipped the egr back to the way it was. It’s a closer fit but still won’t go? I wonder what I did wrong?

so what you have there is a fox body set up. It can be used as long as the throttle cable is swapped out or you can get the elbow and a correct tb and replace it all. IT looks like they have made the stock sn cable work as best as possible in the fox body set up. Its a nice tubular intake....

Thanks. I think removing the manifold spacer caused this problem? Everything worked well and lined up just nice before I pulled it. I’m probably going to need new bolts too.

you will need new bolts or studs for the upper. The spacer looks like it was used to make space for that tb bracket.

Yeah, I’m gonna order a 3/8 spacer. It comes with all the hardware, then I’ll see what new problems arise.
