Trunk Channel Mildew

I finally had the opportunity to clean and detail the exterior of my Stang this past weekend. When I got to the trunk I found the channel had a some seriously bad mildew in the corners closest to to the rear window. When I started cleaning it out the paint started flaking off. I'm going to have to re-paint but first I'll have to make sure all the mildew is gone. Is there a good product for this? Should I just use a bleach/water solution and a stiff brush?

Thanks

There is a filler that's put there from the factory. Some cars mildew worse that others.

Be mindful of the trunk channels and the factory sealer, or you might get what i have.

I'm trying to avoid what Tally has going on.

I'll give it a good sanding once I get some paint.
