trunk lock

How the hell do i remove that thing. I got a trunk to swap with mine but i cant pull the lock.

I pulled mine off. I think its riveted at the base and then there is a plastic clip that comes out next to the lock rod, gently press it out and pull it off.

So cut rivet then pull pieces? I figured that rivet would have to go

be easier to drill it out but yes remove the rivet, then apply light pressure on the release tab and pull it off.
