Not proud of it and should be import-less within the next couple weeks. I can't stand this "driving an import" shit any longer.

whiplash473 I kept up with what you were doing with it for a while but I hadn't checked up on it in a while.

I used POR-15 on my '00 GMC while I had the bed off replacing fuel / brake lines due to rust.
Great stuff for sure.
Just be sure to wear gloves. I found out the hard way it does not come off skin.

DKblue98GT nice trucks man! Love all of those. And yeah I stay on yotatech. I've been on there constantly. Getting ready to put 4Runner 4.88s in my truck and that site answered all my questions. Most of those guys swear by Por15 so I wanted to get some different opinions on here

I know what you mean by looking for a long time for your truck. Good ones are hard to find and usually expensive. Do you mind if I ask what you paid?

Since you are doing 4.88's I am guessing you are getting some 33" tires. I had 4.88's and 33x10.5 BFG muds on the 4runner. The white truck has the 3.0 and a 5 spd and 33x10.5 BFG AT with 4.10 gears. I need to regear it to 4.88 as well. Eventually it will be getting a 3.4...

Are you going to lift it? The POR 15 will look really good and last a long time. It's worth it if you plan to keep the truck.

SWEET TRUCKS. I used to be on yota tech as well. Havent been on there for a couple years though (I'm always on here). I Just picked up a 96 Runner for my daughter as a first car.

3rd gen 4runners are great trucks. I bought my 88 with a 3.0 with the intention of swapping in a 3.4 when it dies.

DKblue98GT Yep. I'm gonna run a 33x12.50 BFG AT with a 3" body lift.

Dkblue98gt And I paid $4500 for it. It's a lady-driven, one owner truck with 150k miles that's never been off road. Don't know what these trucks sell for where you are but that's a steal around here. They're highly sought after.

Por15 works great. Used it on my dad's 68 El camino. It came out great. I'm going to be doing the underbody on my hummer this summer. The winters here destroy our vehicles

I think you did really well, especially with such low mileage. That would be $6000.00 plus here... Looking forward to seeing the transformation.
