just got the upr pick and when i installed it there was a lot of play it is this because the motor is not in the car, or is it a must that i use the firewall adjuster. Also when i push the clutch the cable comes off. and do i need to bend the spring that makes the P U fly back
I had that triple hook thing and it kept cutting the cable. I went back to stock on my old car and it worked fine for me
you didnt have it installed correctly then. You need to shim it to make the cable centered in the firewall hole.
hold the solid part of the end of the cable (above my fingers) and tighten the nut at the end of the cable. Tighten until you have about 1/8 th inch of play in the clutch fork.
Which hook are you guys using?! One of the hooks isn't meant to be used. The third hook was added so they could copy steeda double hook quadrant with out getting sued and to make it LOOK like they were offering more.
Same here (2 OEM cables at that) I have a Fiore waiting to go on. I was using the 2 hook as well. I'm taking the UPR junk off and Steeda FWA/Fiore quad is going on instead.
I've got the UPR Triple pick up... swapped it out for a GRIP Aluminum pickup that the previous owner installed. I haven't had a problem with it. i've got the cable on the middle hook. :dunno:
i am on the hunt for a good quadrant but dont know much bout them and what the difference is between the triple and double, speed release. can someone give me a good quadrant to buy and which hook to have it on thanks.
