I've talked about using Nanoskin for years.
I still have people say they were "scared" to use it, heard it would scratch, etc.
I thought it would be worthwhile to show the procedure on a black car to prove it does not scratch.

The key is using plenty of lube and keeping the pad clean.
Also use low speed if using a DA or you can also buy their handheld applicator.

Anyway, enjoy!

So, I picked 2 of these up to try on my 06 F-150 Harley-Davidson. The weather hasn't been cooperating for me to try out yet.

So, today was decent enough for me to start on the Harley 150, big black truck. I was surprised how easy the nanoskin clay pad worked compared to hand claying. I just did the fenders, doors, bed sides and tail gate. And I wasn't as tired as normal.

Then I paint corrected the same panels. Now I'm starting to get sore and tired lol.

I polished the bed sides and tail gate and was whooped. Had to call it a day and finish up tomorrow.

It had been a while since I showed the truck any love ( body care wise) and it shows.

My arms and shoulders are feeling it . Now I remember why I hadn't done it in a bit.
More work and photos tomorrow.

Nanoskin is totally safe if you do it right just drown the surface in lube, use light pressure, and keep the pad clean (clay towel helps). Low-speed DA or their hand tool works great. Black paint shows everything, and yours came out flawless. Perfect way to prove it doesn’t scratch when used properly.

I forgot about this earlier this year when I needed to replace my clay or I might have tried it. I normally hit the front end with it after the soap cannon during a wash to keep it clean.
