V6 vs V8 Debate.. No bashing, straight up conversation.

Guess it depends on how far you wanna go. My stock one was fine running low 11s with 1.6 60s all day

I think you can go pretty dam far with the factory 8.8.


But i guess if youre talking 500-600+ hp you may need to upgrade

I actually fell into a good deal on this V-6 Mustang, but given the choice, I dunno? Proly best that I wasn't. My fear about G.T.'s (pre-owned) are being ragged out and ran the hell out of (which is understandable if you maintain it). My full insurance was only 250 bucks too. I remember as a kid, there were actually anemic 4 cyl. Pinto's in disguise called Mustang II's so this V-6 is pretty peppy. Was actually surprised by the torque and seeing the factory shorty style folds... BUT you're right, there's nothing like the sound, power, and feel that a V-8 (especially a small block ford) gives you. I will probably buy a GT or Cobra after finishing this one, the seed has already been planted by y'alls builds...
