http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=VNM-V49-131&N=700+115&autoview=sku I saw this in a summit book I was looking at and it claims a 25% increase in power. Does anyone else have this? I mean im sorta skeptical, but I might buy it either way just to see what it does.
Its crap. All it does it trick the computer by changing your TPS signal to the ECU. It makes the computer think that you're at 3/4 throttle when you're actually only at 1/2 throttle...so you think that you're making more power....you're not. At Wide Open Throttle, you're still at Wide Open Throttle so there is not power gain there. Your car gets "snappier" maybe but thats about it.
ryclef is right, it tricks the computer that your gong faster than what you really are and if you have an automatic it makes your transmission shift hard and the car just feels faster, but it does adjust your timing and also trick the mass air that the air is colder than what it really is and make the gas richer, but you can adjust your own timing and use a resistor from radio shack to make the gas richer, but i wouldnt recommend using the resistor, so all in all it is the biggest piece of junk you can buy, so dont buy it
