Within this thread you will find the rules to our Forum and our Facebook page.

Please note, we are currently using an infraction-based system to enforce these rules.

Infraction 1:
No negative impact on the user. This is a clear warning that their behavior is unacceptable.

Infraction 2:
The user will be shifted from their current user status (say, a Supporting Member) to a Probation status.
-- In this status the user's posts must each individually be approved by a moderator before they can be viewed by the rest of the community.
-- Large sections of the forum are off limits (Classifieds, Suggestions, The Back Room, etc.)
-- Additionally, interactive portions will be removed from the user (Such as placing new events on the community calendar)
-- User profile settings will be limited - no Avatar, no Signature
* A user will return to their standard profile status once one of the infractions given expires *

Infraction 3:
The user will be banned for 7 days.

Warnings:
Warnings are also an option available to the moderators. They carry no penalty (IE: You can have 1 Infraction and 100 warnings with no ill effects to your activity abilities.)
Warnings are given based on the judgment of the moderators.

All discipline actions do expire, eventually.

If you have any questions, just hit me up!

:)

Welcome!~~ Please read our forum rules!

IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS OR HAVE QUESTIONS/CONCERNS PLEASE EMAIL: [email protected] OR PRIVATE-MESSAGE MustangChris - THANKS

If you are having problems with trouble-causing members, please check out this thread for the process on reporting and ignoring:
http://sn95forums.com/showthread.php?57100-How-To-Report-Offensive-Posts-and-Ignore-Users

First and foremost, thank you for joining!

SN95Forums was the first dedicated forum targeted to 94-04 stangs. We’ve become the largest thanks to our dedicated members.
We take pride in the laid-back atmosphere we offer, but we do have a few rules.

-----------------------------------------------------
THESE FIRST TWO RULES APPLY TO THE ENTIRE FORUM COMMUNITY

Our first, and most important rule, hasn’t changed since day 1…
We try to keep a relaxed feeling around here, we are not harsh mods, we are not strict but please try not to offend other members. Pretty much anything goes!

There is no bashing or harshly negative comments also use common sense! Yes post your opinion but try to do it in the nicest way possible. :)

Our second rule regards our facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/groups/104048326322362/
The Facebook Page created to function with this forum is a direct extension of this forum. The same rules, regulations, and standards upheld on this site are fully enforced on our Facebook page as well.

Bashing of other Mustang sites, members or cars will not be tolerated on either site.

This forum has grown due to its fun nature and great atmosphere. The largest efforts are put forth by the administration to keep this positive atmosphere and “easy goin’†routine.

-----------------------------------------------------
Chat Room Rules:

all forum rules apply to the chat area
no drug references, naked pics or otherwise NSFW material
-----------------------------------------------------
The remainder of our rules are posted inside the sections of the forum they apply to; but, I will post them here for easy access

Road Rage Area:
The Moderators hereby have full authority over this section of the forum.

Problems will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

This area of the forum is not to be used by the "faint of heart" -- If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

If, for any reason, you do not like a member of this forum, simply ignore them (PM me for instructions on how to add someone to your "ignore" list.)

This is a place to get rubbish off your chest. -- Do not take the crap in this section out into the rest of the forum.

Politics & World News Area:
Things can get kind of heated and sometimes personal in here so lets leave those emotions in here and not let them spill out into the General Forums.
If you can't handle this then YOU should probably not be in here.

The abovementioned disclaimer does not give an open invitation to treat each other with disrespect. The disclaimer does not supersede the general forum rules and regulations.
A lot of negativity can happen here (the politics section) - we understand that, but we also have a community and atmosphere to maintain.

Hotties – 18+ & *NSFW* area:

PLEASE TRY TO KEEP FAIRLY CLEAN

Moderators reserve the right to remove and report any content we deem unacceptable and unlawful.
Ladies, feel free to participate! But male members of the forum, no bashing on the threads female members start. If you don’t want to see a fire-fighter with his shirt off, don’t open the thread. It’s that easy. Ladies, if you don’t want to see soaped-up bikini girls, don’t open the thread….

Engine area:
No engine bashing. What’s this mean? No “5.0 liters suck so hard… should have bought a 4.6 literâ€â€¦. Obviously this type of lively debate is allowed in threads where that is the topic; but don’t pull a 4.6L DOHC tech thread off track by suggesting the member “just buy a 5.0†…

**This includes the V6 area!!**

Build Up Area:
Feel free to post your project but please keep only ONE THREAD per vehicle.

Bashing of members' rides will not be tolerated.

Lively debate, suggestions, constructive criticism are acceptable, but these are personal threads -- be respectful.

Classifieds Section:

Classifieds are not for discussion:
Classifieds are here for our members to buy or sell an item. If a post does not relate directly to the item for sale/wanted it will be deleted. If you have a off topic question PM the seller.

If you do not follow these rules your post will be erased with NO WARNING.

MUST HAVE 100+ POSTS TO START A "WANT TO SELL" THREAD!

SELLERS:

· Start For Sale threads with "FS:" or want to trade threads with "WTT:"
· Post your location, it's easier for both you and your potential buyer.
· Give a clear description of the item, and post pictures if possible
· Items must have an asking price, no feeler threads. Either it's for sale, or not.
· Post only one thread for your item. Multiple THREADS WILL BE DELETED
· If you have multiple items for sale, please POST THEM ALL IN ONE THREAD. There is no need to clog up the forum.
· Please only BUMP/TTT your item ONCE per day MAX or it will be removed OTHER THAN ANSWERING QUESTIONS THAT POTENTIAL BUYERS MIGHT HAVE.
· NO EBAY/CRAIGSLIST ADs -- If your thread has been posted for a few days and you want to update it with an eBay listing (after failed attempts to sell it) we will allow it.

· "Want to Buy" threads should not be posted in the FS Section, post in the WTB sub forum
· Those interested please keep your post related to the items listed.
· Do not take over another users thread. If you are selling something, start your own thread.
· If you feel the poster is asking too much money, keep your complaining about the price to yourself. If you don't like the price, don't buy it.

Lastly:
We do not condone the selling of stolen goods, if it is reported or found out, your information will be passed on to the Authorities. We encourage people to use Paypal as it's one of the more secure ways to transfer money online, sn95forums can not be responsible for people being ripped off so protect yourself. If you see anyone breaking these rules or posting obvious scam, please click the "REPORT POST TO MODERATOR" button, one of the mods will take care of it. We will not tolerate spam or people getting ripped off on our site.

Safety Suggestions
SN95Forums is not liable for lost, stolen, broken, missing, or vandalized items. The responsibility of getting paid and proper shipping falls on the parties in the transaction. Here are a few suggestions to help protect yourself:

BUYERS AND SELLERS:
#1) check out our "shit list" of banned members we do not suggest participating with
http://sn95forums.com/showthread.php...ifieds-Warning

#2) use our trader feed-back option after the transaction is complete
http://sn95forums.com/showthread.php...leave-feedback

#3) start a good guy/bad guy thread for the other user after the transaction
http://sn95forums.com/forumdisplay.p...-Guys-Bad-Guys

#4) contact a moderator if the transaction begins to get "fishy" -- we will help keep an eye on the situation and can help eliminate scammers from the site if things go badly.

#5) keep communication flowing. If one party immediately stops communicating, that should throw up red flags. If they lead you on for a week, chances are they aren't a scammer.

BUYERS:
#1) Use PayPal - it offers protection! **BUT** You can not send the money as a gift. If a seller requests you send the money as a gift to avoid fees, simply tack on an additional 3% to the asking price.

#2) There are other online payment options, such as Dwolla.
https://www.dwolla.com/

#3) If you do not want to pay over the internet, your options consist of a Money Order (available at any post office) or a Check. These have *high risk* as the seller can simply cash them, and walk away.

SELLERS:
#1) Do not request buyer pay the PayPal fees. This is unethical, as well as dangerous. Do **NOT** request they send you the money as a gift.

#2) Do not send the parts until the money has entered your paypal account and cleared.

#3) I always suggest getting a tracking code/delivery confirmation when doing online transactions. (at buyer's expense)

#4) take pictures of the item before you package it up. Do not delete these pictures until buyer confirms the items arrived safely.

#5) Offer insurance to the buyer (at buyer's expense)

Suggestions area:
#1) Don't bash other member's ideas. If you disagree, PLEASE say so -- but do it in a friendly manner. If you feel the original poster may get offended by your comments on their ideas, PLEASE send me a private message.

#2) Although some of our members may publicly acknowledge they help with the technical side of the forum, please do not PM them your suggestions or target them directly. Post your ideas here so the entire forum can participate. Additionally, these people are regular folk with day jobs and families.... they dont want to come onto the site to have a PM-box full of suggestions they have no obligation to respond to.... ya know?
