one of the clubs im in had a track meet tonight. my times DID NOT improve but it was humid and pretty warm out (70* - 80*). actually i only lost about 1/2 a second off my very best time so i guess thats not bad :dunno:

the best i could do was a 15.000 @ 93.18 / 2.21 60', beat a mostly stock 5.0 that ran a 15.35

a 15.046 @ 93.44 / 2.25 60", beat a girl in a Bullit w/minor bolt ons, an x-pipe and catback... she ran a 15.452 @ 92.91 / 2.4 60' in a Bullit ???

a 15.248 @ 93.10 / 2.333 60' / "new best r/t of .044" against a 93, 5.0 GT that ran a 15.8... he had just beat me with a 15.42 against my 15.64 in the prior run (i missed the hell out of second gear!). we hot lapped and went again ;)

then my final run of the night was against a blown roush, i lost but ran a 15.082 @ 93.2 / 2.23 60'

won 3, lost 2 and had a BLAST!!!

EDIT:// just did a correction on my times based temp, humidity and barometric pressure: to figure your corrected times go to http://www.modulardepot.com/density.php

Based on:
Temp: 90° @ 7:00 PM
Humidity: 42%
Track Altitude: 1054 feet
Pressure: 29.72 in.

Density Altitude = 3745 feet
Uncorrected 15.000 @ 93.18
Corrected 14.31 @ 97.45 (I WISH!!!!)

thanks Snakebit!! yea it would be pretty nice to run a 14.3, the car can probably do it if driven right. ive run a 2.2ish 60' every time i've run down the track and even went from a 245/50/16 to a 315/35/17 :dunno: i still havent mastered that "not mashing the gas when i come off the clutch" so i spin a good bit!! oh well, more practice needed ;D

Launching is easy. Just rev it up to about 4500 rpm, dump the clutch, and hold on!!!

(this only works with slicks . . . lol)

I snapped a stock axle on drag radials . . lol. Gave me an excuse to do Moser 31 splines, a Detroit Locker, and Maximum Motorsports uppers, lowers, and anti-roll bar . . :)
