So I've had my Mongoose kit sitting in my room for about 3 months now. I dropped the car off saturday morning to get it installed/dyno tuned. I get a call this morning and my installer tells me Vortech sent me a 96-98 COBRA kit...I couldn't believe it. So I call Vortech and they admit that they f'd up by tracing their files. So the good news is they are going to pay the $400 to overnight ship the right kit. The bad news is I was supposed to get the car back tomorrow and the shop won't even get the kit until Thursday sometime...What a bummer!!

at least the company knew they messed up, with my luck it would have been traced back to being my fault and i would have to pay for shipping back, restocking, and probably a bunch of other stuff

Did they send you a complete wrong kit or just the mounting bracket?

yeah its the whole entire wrong kit, everything from the bracket to the headunit. I know theyre doing there best with their error and i know it happens. So oh well, tomorrow the official install will start. All he could do is the fuel pressure/boost gauges so far and start to take the cai on stuff off. I'll keep ya guys updated!

Parts mix ups are just a fact of life.
that's nice that they're overnighting the right stuff to you, and that they have it avaliable.

I'd feel bad for you, but my car's been at the tuner for 3 months...
