    finally got the car up on a lift, check out the belly of the beast....AND....what are those BLOCKS? kind of things sitting behind the rear wheels??

    if you have a 99+ stang, those would be your rear fenders... :hammer:

    i believe but am not too sure on this, they may be the theft warning system for the rear... i dont have them because my car was a salvage

    I've seen the charcoal canister located behind the rear wheels on a few SN-95's.

    I think I know what you are talking about. The black boxes. I've heard one explaination that said they were safety devices in case of a rearend collision. I don't know the specifics, but do a search on 3.8mustang.com. There was a pretty large discussion over there.
