Nice, it’s got the interior upgrade package. What’s all done to it? I really need to start driving my 07 again.

That’s not the stock steering wheel. Looks to the 07-09 GT500 piece.

Pull the passenger side of the cowl panel off and inspect the grommet that allows water to drain. It’s common for them to get clogged up and then water backs up through the cabin air filter. Ask me how I know?

Also, check the SJB (smart junction box) in the passenger kick panel for signs of water intrusion. You’ll notice Ford even installed a “weather head” above it to prevent water intrusion. Could be a cause of the issue with the gauges.

I noticed the wheel too, didn’t know it came from a gt500 that’s cool to know. Hopefully someone has already done the plugs and swapped to brisk racing one piece plugs.

The thumb rests gave it away! Plus the spoke trim didn’t match the silver on the dash. I’m eventually going to swap in one of these with a module from PAC to use the buttons with the aftermarket radio.

I've attempted to use those modules on 2 different cars. They both worked sporadically. At first they were great, then they only worked when they wanted to. All my connections were soldered too.

Put on timing cover and water pump.. exhaust studs. Ran out of fasteners though. These are the valve covers I got. Waiting on fasteners for those and the oil pan. Now to hunt for an oil filter adapter, idler washers, and a water pump pulley for a shortsnout.20220730_230814.jpg20220730_230823.jpg

Best I remember the stepper motors are prone to failure on the S197.

Looks like the rear spoiler is gone - UPR makes a set of billet "covers" for the holes if you don't have the spoiler. They weren't very expensive from what I remember.

As White said, check that grommet and make sure it isn't plugged. It will flood the car lol.

Don't even attempt the plugs unless you have the Lisle tool on-hand. Maybe you are lucky and they've already been replaced with a one-piece.

Borrowed the pickup tube standoff from the 6.8 v10 and made a duplicate for the stock 4.6. 1.572" m8x1.25 tapped through. I will counter bore it to mimmick the factory one on break.

Now I just need to grab some bolts for the tube then I can finish this pig up. Oh and i need to make some washers for the idler pulleys as well. 20220801_124550.jpg20220801_124835.jpg
