You might check out the Dakota Digital SGI-100-BT. Pretty slick unit for calibrating speed. I use it on my car, bluetooth phone app, adjust mph in real time as you're driving. RPM too.

Not my car
About once every 2 weeks I pass by this car on Jack stands
You cant really see the slop on that concrete slab
But it dose slop pretty good
He finally just put tires on it
I would be scared to death working in a situation like that on this car or any other car in that position
Be safe use level ground solid ground something secure 20230213_123042.jpg

Probably sloping under the weight of shame of holding that POS up.

There are jack stands and thay have been there for about 3 years on that slope I know the guy is working on it slowly but to me that is unsafe as fuck
He is lucky with the winds that we have had that car is not sitting on ground
Just saying
Looks are deceiving but that ground has a good slope to it

Wow, you hurt my feelings. We had (key word) a 1981 and it was o.k., but then sold it and bought a new '04 Z06 which I had for 10years. Light years in difference between them for sure. However, I really like the '02 with Coyote a lot more!!

ah now I have been thinking for years that somebody needs to take one of those body styles of vette and have some fun with it. I bet with a couple of tasteful body mods and the right wheels/stance and people would wonder why they never did that.

Yea those Stingray lines to me are sexy. I'd modernize it if it were mine. Throw an LSX in there and whatnot.

I am a car guy, and more of a ford guy than anything but I don't want to limit myself as I can see the coolness in many cars that are not made by ford. I do like the newer vettes and then as for the older ones I think the stingrays could be taken to a level that no one seems to take them to.

I had to .air up the front left tire from sitting in the garage all winter. I hope to soon have the car out but it is still February in the southern Ontario snow belt. All else looks good and maybe in 6 weeks I can get it out.

Took the day off to do car stuff but wound up cleaning & putting stuff in the attic most of the day. Started to swap the throttle cable on the unicorn but it started to pour down rain. Oh well. Tomorrow it is.

Elongated the lower bolt hole of the driver side strut more inboard where it mounts to the spindle because of excess camber reading on the alignment machine, even with C/C plates maxed toward positive camber. Went from -2.5* to -1.5* which I guess is ok. Also got a 0.00 thrust angle for the IRS rear which is also at -1.5* camber.

Things are looking good.

Maybe we should have a thread of "what did you NOT do to your car today".....
I suggested that on the Jag forum I'm also on as I had many plans one day and none of them happened.

It never took off.

Maybe there should be a "what thread did you plan to start today but didn't" thread instead...

What CC plates are you using?
