Listened to the annoying creaking noise from the Front Right suspension pulling in my parking garage. I'm going to have to pull it in the shop tonight and see what's what. The noise just started randomly a few weeks ago and was mainly only noticeable when turning the steering wheel when parked or at LOW speeds (like in my parking garage). I ended up grabbing a set of the extended Ford Rack bushing / bolt sleeves (Factory TSB for this noise). Then the noise just stopped.

Keep in mind - BEFORE the noise started:

- Outer tie rods replaced (one boot on one side was bad, replaced both)
- New greaseable HD ball joints (one boot on one side was bad - see a pattern? - replaced both)
- New calipers / pads / rotors

No noise after this. Then after a bit the noise (Steering started). Then it stopped. Then is recently started again and it's loud in the parking garage and annoying. I hear it slowly going over speed bumps, hitting bumps at slow speeds etc.

The front control arm bushings didn't look great last time I was under there. So I'm debating on ordering new control arms (which sucks because my ball joints are new) because the OEM arms don't look stout enough to take the pressure of pressing old bushings / sleeves out and new ones in - and ain't no way I'm doing poly bushings, this my daily driver. New rack bushings and install the sleeves at the same time, and since I'm in there that deep - mine as well do sway bushings, end links and inner tie rods.

That's what I get for Daily driving a 20 year old Mustang.
I call my mustang "Old Squeaky". :)

Whaaaaat? No pics of it sitting on the slicks?

Those are great #s, especially for the first time out with the auto. What trans did you go with.
I think my wife got a picture, I’ll ask her. It’s got the 6r80 in it now with a circle d 4200 stall.
Hell yea buddy . What kinda trap speed 117 -118 ?
Yes, trap speed was 117. Best trap I’ve gotten was 118 and that was the 11.5 pass. I feel like it should trap a little more than that though.

That’s awesome. Once I get everything sorted out completely, I’m going to try mine on pump e85. We just got a station by the track. I’ll need injectors though, on 93 they are currently at 76% duty cycle. I think the e85 would put me right on the edge.

Nice that’s around what my car does now it’s gone 120 twice on the street on my draggy but usually 117-118 . I’m hoping October 6th doesn’t rain it’s the last street legal of the year for the 1/4 mile track . It’s 2.5 hrs away like every track so I only get out there a few times a year . Yea I’d up the injectors if you plan on doing e85 . The gains are worth it .

How do they look lit up at night?
I'm not sure. I just put these in a few days ago, and the car hasn't been turned on in a couple months lol. The rings don't light up though, so im not sure how much of the light from the HVAC bulbs shines through them

Toasted my Mcleod clutch after only 1200 miles since the vortech install. The selection of a 400 hp rated one was ok when i redid my motor but had wiggle room and was not planning on adding an SC when i started my build. Caused myself more problems when i fully welded the exhaust without considering future removal of the T5 crossmember so i had to cut it out. Exhaust ORP parts are scarce. I have a plan and parts forthcoming 2-3 weeks including Borla exhaust. Already have a new flex and stepped up 550 hp McLeod.

Spent most of the day removing the leaky Holley oil pan so I can put the new one on once we check it all out. Also making a small heat shield for the left motor mount so the header heat gets distracted. Pulled the bumper off as well to have my body guy repaint it. Not a bad job, just have to take all the suspension off again and most likely do another alignment when done. I'll have it close enough to test the pan prior to having that done.

Can you remove the oil pan without messing with the crossmember?

I fixed my loose knee trim panel by epoxying the spring clips back in place, and getting new screws to hold it down.

Pulled my gauges out and correctly wired the voltmeter to the battery hot instead of my isolated DC-DC power supply, so it reads actual system voltage now:

Went to the semi finals bracket racing this weekend . Ended up killing the Hoosiers yesterday the car went 7.43 spinning at 96 was the best during testing and a bunch of 7.90’s spinning through second . Checked the tires this morning they were on the threads . Put the old 17” nitto 555r2’s first pass it goes 1.68 60ft I missed 2nd 8.0 at 91 . After that 2.0 60ft’s for the rest of the day on the radials the tracks so hit and miss every run being an airstrip .lost going red in semis

I had a spare set of Cobra calipers, so I bought some rotors and swapped them on my GT. Also installed new Bilstien shocks and swapped out the 99-00 wing on the car to an 01+ style. (not in this pic)

I have a set of lowering springs on deck. Need to ditch the comical 4x4 look
