Played around with launching the car on the return trip and found that riding the clutch out helps a bunch. Doing so knocked about .05 off my 60’ time, dropped .27 off my previous “best” and picked up .6 mph.

I’ll keep chipping away at it. When the weather gets a bit better, I’ll throw the 315’s back on and see how much the softer (200tw vs 500tw) compound helps.

Put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on my 1995 GT today. It's possible my digital gauge is not reading accurately at the low end, but indeed I'm getting 50 PSI cold and when the engine warms up it drops to around 9 PSI on the mechanical. The digital gauge reads around 5PSI. This could explain why the dash gauge is still reading OK (it trips at 6PSI I think). I am running 10W30 oil with a bottle of STP Oil Treatment added to increase viscosity. I'm guessing worn main bearings. No ticking or unusual sounds from the engine, so I'm driving it until I get a new motor made.

Put some 15w40 in it next oil change . She’ll keep going .

After searching the internet for 10 days I finally located a cobra bumper (everybody seems to be out of stock) drove 2 hours to pick it up. And now I'm going to enjoy some time in Phoenix before I head back

Nice I’m going to put a cobra bumper on my car over winter aswell . Getting my cowl hood painted too, I hit a trash panda at like 100mph and it cracked up the paint on my stock bumper .

I'm curious to hear what you think. I run MT SS E/T Streets now, but I have the vibration that they are plagued with (I'm going to have them rebalanced at the end of the season)
My next rear tire may very well be the R888R
