Lug nuts came in ….. so while the steaks were on the grill, I slipped these on.

When I replace the tires, I’m going taller up front. I like more sidewall. Plus these are a teensiebit smaller diameter than the stock tires. Rears are perfect, though. Same diameter as stock, but 2.5” wider or so.

Been waiting for these custom white-backlit switches to arrive so I can finish off the dash. These will control the sequential LEDs, to be able to toggle back and forth to/from OE lighting.

Today I started to install the under seat sub/amp combo. I planned to break this up into a few days just so I would not kill my back but jesus just getting the power wire through the firewall took 2 hours of cussing and some creative thinking. The damn boxer motor covers most of the firewall and there was only on well packed grommet to go through. I could get an antenna or 1/4 hard plastic hose through it and then pull a 14 awg wire through that but then anytime I tried to pull the 8 awg through it would pull off the wire and leave me cussing. I was finally able to get it in but damn that was one of the hardest power wires I have ever ran.....

After damaging (non-fixable) a wheel when I hit a rumble strip last year, finally purchsed new replacements. Couldn't get the FR500 black w/polished rim, so opted for the Anthracite w/polished rim. These are mainly my track wheels so I guess it doesn't matter much. Will just change the look of the car. I'll get a picture with them on later this year when season is live. Stayed with 17x9 and fitted this time with Nitto 01's 275/40x17, so I went wider from the 255/40's I was running. Hope this will keep me in the corners better. ;)

today I basically finished up the wiring under the hood for the stereo. Getting the wires through the firewall grommet was total PIA... I made an acrylic base to mount the fuse holders to that goes on top of the battery and is labeled and got it all mounted down. I just need to make the last 6" of connections between the fuse holders and the battery but I want to hook up the other end first. My goal on this is to make the wiring blend with the factory wiring so I covered it all with black techflex and other than the fuse holder everything looks stock. Hopefully tomorrow I can take the seat out, mount the woofer/amp combo and get it all wired up and then all is left is behind the dash and I have a harness that might show up tomorrow to make that easy(finger crossed).
