Quick wash before short trip to lunch. Ran a tad hot (210*) for a while when A/C was on, but ran at 195*-205* after A/C off. Checked radiator and overflow and noticed little particles like tiny, tiny flakes in the radiator. Any cause for concern??

Pretty much any engine is ok running at 210F pretty much forever. Even 220 is ok intermittently as the fan should bring it back down to the low 200s.

Really the only way to diagnose internal wear is to do particle sample analysis with a company like Speed Diagnostix or Blackstone Labs.

Blackstone has a coolant test for $45. I didn’t see that Speed Diagnostix had one.

The new DD is spoiling me and saving me. The blindspot detection went off 2x yesterday as cars went by as I was backing out of a parking spot with large sport utes on either side and unable to see.

Please, do you have contact (email, phone, etc.) for this Instagram _slib fender source? I would prefer not to set up an account and search only for that purpose if I can avoid it. If anyone else makes contact with them please let me know.
Having 315s in front would be just awesome. How was the fitment? Did it take a lot of work to get everything to line up properly? My goal is to run Michelin 30/65-R18 race tires. The difference between Hoosier R7s and Michelin race tires is dramatic. Can you tell us what size and offset of front and rear wheels you're using?
Thanks!

I’ll see what I can do.

The fit is overall good but my passenger side has a bit of a casting issue. This was said to be fixed in later revisions. I’ll dig pics of this up.

My wheels are 18x11 +16 (with a slim spacer in the front so realistically +11) and the tires are 315/30r18 or 12.8” wide x 25.4” tall.

Edit:

Note the trailing edge of the wheel arch on this fender compared to the next picture. The opening is slightly skewed on the passenger side. It was said that the mold was incorrectly formed or the original fender is was molded after was damaged, don’t recall which.

I’ll take pictures in the daylight tomorrow. It’ll make more sense from a front looking back perspective.

Now it's my turn. I had an increasing idle issue, even with throttle blades closed tight. Must have air somewhere? Got the carb cleaner out and started my investigation. TB and gasket good...next was intake/head gasket. I heard a "whoosing sound" as I sprayed a bit near 2 & 3 and the same on 6 & 7. Looked closer and saw intake gasket split and protruding a bit. Time for intake gaskets! Not the first time and seems common on the SBF with aluminum intakes. I should have it fixed by tomorrow. Nice thing is it's clean and easy to R&R thanks to my brilliant engineering. :p

you would probably not believe that I was hoping to actually spend some time in the mustang today but of course my stomach stuff spoke up and said no I wasn't. We have some in home help coming in to help with mom/dad now and the weather finally cooled down enough that I was going to see how long my back would let me work to try and finish the wiring mess I have going on.
