Yeah it luckily wasn't a catastrophe - one of the ears popped off of one of the jaws and went flying across the garage. At that point, I CAREFULLY undid the tension, got the compressor off, and took the springs and struts to town lol.

Ya for sure its a lot of dust on it
It's terrible the amount of dirt dust in the air when its windy and gusty
And its in a building and a car cover on it
Still this crap is everywhere

DIY attempt to build an “air block” under the doors to the shop to help prevent air, dust, debris etc from getting in. The doors on this shop, which was built in 1947 (not a typo!)
are warped and the driveway pavement outside is distorted by tree roots. I tried to Mickey Mouse some air blockage, but crap was still getting underneath pretty easily. So, I built a raised “lip” of concrete just inside along the base of the doors. Then had to cut the leading edge back so the damn doors would close.
Yep, I had no clue what I was doing (as you can tell), but my primary focus was function over design!

Similar to my shop it’s super old and and my never ending project on the farm full of cars . I’ve gotta decent 2 car garage at my other place 20 mins away now that I keep the mustang in . Stays a little cleaner .
