Last of the parts finally came in for the new hydro clutch. Finished off the clutch master cylinder and reservoir. Just need to fill/bleed/test. I think at this rate, I'll be doing the first true shakedown runs in just a few days (minus the holiday).

Did some custom fabrication for the hardline sections of the diff cooling circuit to hold the lines down steady to the IRS subframe, and this way there's no stress on the threaded part where it bulkheads through the upper subframe liquid line and using the quick disconnects for the diff won't stress things out either. The fun part was welding them down to the frame. Luckily I had a pneumatic wire wheel and plenty of acetone and the Argon gas for the welder. Came out beautiful once the slag was ground down and everything re-painted.

The bodies of the quick disconnects just kind of 'snap' right into this body clips that I made. I made quite the usage out of a pneumatic burr bit making those things as well as a rat tail file. Made the clips out of 1/16" steel and hogged out a shit load of material from the center once I precisely cut out the outlines with a cutoff wheel. Used a standard bench vice to close up the tangs so that the QDs are held in real tight, but not tight enough to swivel them out if need be (can't imagine I'll ever have to though, but still nice to have that available).

Didn't make a whole lot of progress today cuz I fucked around a lot. Must've been the heavy meal the night before.

Just did some wiring for the diff cooling system, that was about it. Had some nice stock on hand of single-pole Amphoenol connectors that I pilfered through so I could have an output for the diff temp switch. Stuffed it into the factory trunk grommet that would normally supply the factory fuel pump with power. Repurposed it for this diff stuff, and sent in the two wires to actually power the pump into that grommet as well. This'll add to the mindset of being able to quickly disconnect something (fluid line or electrical connector) if anything ever needs removing. Everything got the snake skin/heat shrink treatment, and I had some nice Insultherm lying around that I put over the temp sensor wire since it'll get real hot in that area.

Being able to remove the fuel tank in just a couple minutes makes everything easy AF.
