a PI 4.6L
Depend on how much power you want? With stock stuff 4.6l maxes at 450hp and 5.0l maxes at 500hp
well i should have asked the best one for torque? for stock wise
Depends where you want the torque. 5.0 has it all down low while the 4.6 has it up top.
I don't think we need to have this argument. This will just result in a million opinions and no answer.
he is talkin about the 4.6 SOHC, it has ZERO top end.
I love watching this age old debate explode into a war between the hardcore 5.0 guys and the pro-4.6 guys.... so much fun! Haha
this will erupt into a Jerry springer episode......
BTW: 4.6 DOHC FTW....lol
427 SOHC FTMFW!!!!!
I vote for the 5.0. Especially if it's a fox motor with the forged pistons than it's hands down 5.0 ftw
u cant beat cubic inches :naughty:
4.6 dohc>4.6 3 valve>5.0 OHV> 4.6sohc
LSx > Crappy Ford Motors
do you think i should dump the 4.6 and do a 5.0 conversion...........? or stay 4.6? its time for a new engine anyways
it depends, what are your goals?
you would pry be better off just sticking with a 4.6. your gonna have a lot of $$ into the conversion that could go towards a built/boosted 4.6. i do honestly prefer the 5.0 but swapping it in a 96 is just not worth it. just go buy a 94-95 if ya want a 5.0 :dunno:
You got a messed up order there. The dohc 4.6l does not make more power than the 3 valve. And we are talking n/a.
well everything around here is just over priced, rat bagged, or stolen recovery. its hard to pick "the one" :-[
thell that to the owner of a Terminator :rollinglaugh: :rollinglaugh: :rollinglaugh:
i spent over a year looking for a stang and finally found the one i have now. Honestly it wasnt the perfect car and i pry paid a little more than i should have but i got it and i am happy. it is pretty hard to find a nice stang around here as there are not many around but just keep looking
