Hey guys could you help me understand my cluster, is the rev limiter at 4800 RPM or at 6000 RPM. Why are there tight redlines (~4.8k to 6k) and then wide redlines (6k to 7k). I went drifting today and was a lot around 4500 rpm and I hit 5200 one time. Is it safe for the engine or already too much. I know peak power is at 4k. Thanks !

You should be fine, but generally speaking I wouldn't rev the V6 far above 5250RPM - not much point anyway, as they dont make power past 4500 or so anyway.

There are "soft" and "hard" redlines built in anyway (fuel and spark cut), so dont worry too much about it

Yeah I try to shift around 4.5k but sometimes you forget lol, do you know where those soft and hard redlines are from factory? It seems like 4800k from the gauge but im not sure

On the 94-95 V6 cars, they have a soft cut rev limiter at 5400-5500. 96-98 V6 cars are also limited at 5400-5500, but are hard cut limiters.
