What Next?

Ok so i am finally getting my car put back together in the next day or two or as soon as i get my king cobra installed. But i was wondering what i should do next, from looking at what I have done so far which isnt a lot what do you guys think gears or intake? I was leaning toward gears cause i have 2.73s. I want to get 3.55s, so that and intake are the next two but which do you guys think I should do first?

I really dont want to run 3.90s a bit steep for me, and brain dude i ahve never driven your car so i dont know the difference. But yeah I am going to go gears then intake for sure jsut was getting some opinions.

K well you can drive it lol. You at least need to drive mine or chris' so you can feel the difference it changes the whole car man.

Yeah and there is not way i am buying your 3.90s dont want that im geting 3.55s when i grt it done just gotta get paid a couple times and off to JAWS i go.

Don't buy 3.55's unless you plan to make up the lack of gear with a light weight flywheel or nitrous.

If you don't I would vote for 3.73 gears since you don't want 3.90s.

3.90's are an awesome gear ratio, i wouldnt go with 3.55's unless you are goin a turbo setup in the future because obviously turbos like resistance to build boost, or if you like get on the highway and take a long trip kinda car. But if you want a street/strip type setup i would definatly go with the 3.90's

If you want 3.55's I have some.... But anyway i went 3.55's to my 4.10's and I love em. I like 3.90's cause its good enough to bring your RPMS close, but on the highway it doesnt make you rap as high. 3.55's IMO were too sluggish for a mostely stock car. Even with full bolt ons maybe 3.55's.... If you are gonna push major power or maybe put a SC in her, 3.55 is great.

I thought the t-5's came with a 3.27...... the Auto's came with a 2.73 The newer gt's have a 3.35 then the mach and cobra have a 3.55 i could be wrong but i am pretty sure thats how it goes.

A 3.73 is a MINIMUM!!!!!

You will GAIN milage around town with pretty much any gear (include 4.10-4.30).

WIth a 3.73 on the highway you MIGHT lose a mpg or 2....big deal.

MINIMUM 3.73. If I were you and running a stockish 5.0 on a 5spead, I'd be going 4.10....shit...I'm about to put them behind my 331.

I would agree, I had 4:10's in my 91 / 96 auto GT / and my 98 auto GT. Im running 4:30's in my Cobra.......dont fear the gear :D
