I’ve driven a few regular cayman s and they were amazing to drive on the roads here . So I can only imagine how awesome the track inspired version would be .

It didn't have the nice sound of the gt500, but there also wasn't the fear the back end was going to lose traction and come around and bite you.

The year in the 911 was the only year that they didn't ask if we wanted to go fast/slow and just lined us up. Every other year they have asked and put the people that were not looking to push it in the back so we didn't have to go around them. Because of this I didn't really get a clean lap where I was not passing someone, or when someone was ready to pass me. Still a LOT of fun for sure...

Was the same for me. I asked to go to the front since I’ve been on that track a few times now. Ended up 3rd in line in a field of 8-9.

First half of the first lap I spent riding the bumper of another 911 GT3 and a lambo until I could get around them. Then it was hammer down time!

Next year I gotta be quicker with the “put me in front” request. I got over 1 g in a few of the corners but after snooping around the GT3 boards and seeing guys post pics of them going over 1.5gs on the stock tires, I know this car has way more potential than I’ll ever drive it.

Of I had to choose, my two dream cars:
'67 GT500
'70 Plymouth Superbird (my dad had one he regrets not keeping)

If I were choosing newer, probably a Hellcat of some variation... Charger, Challenger, or Durango.

In lieu of going thru 6 pages of replies to see if I did… my Dream Car would be an AC Cobra 427, but I wouldn’t scoff at a 289 high-revere either with its weight distribution balance. ;-)

I think my dream car would be a GT40 and not necessarily an original GT40, because that would be out of reach. One of the Superformance kit GT40 and a snotty 289 pushing it would tickle me just fine.

Realistic cars… I really like the LS engines. Ws6 t/a, 5th gen GTO, (any of the LS powered GM sedans) 6th gen caprice ppv, Grand Prix GXP, CTS-V, Chevy SS. I also love the gmt800 gm truck. Also, the gmt400 short beds 2wd.

I like a lot of different makes and models, can’t imagine being stuck on one brand.

Definitely lots to drink over across brands, I agree. I’ve had Ford, Chevy, Ram, Toyota, even Mazda (college). The only brand I wasn’t thrilled with is Nissan. I had a Stanza that was grossly under engineered motor and my wife’s SUV (the one with the stadium seating) was a powerful 4.0 but THIRSTY THIRSTY THIRSTY!

But… The Caddy CTS-V is a rocket ship! The Ws-6 no slouch either ;-)

I love, love, love my Mustang… but I do also have an appreciation for other American muscle. And I have to admit, there’s some stout competition out there as the playing field has become quite level.

So, hypothetically, if you HAD TO choose another American muscle car (and money was no object) besides a Mustang, what would you choose? Challenger Hellcat Red Eye? Lingenfelter Camaro? Corvette? Or ???

American only! No Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini this or that, Porsche, Ferrari blah blah blah. Just American….

Your loyalty is NOT in question here; we’re just playing “what if”…

Happy 4th of July everyone and God Bless America and our Troops! +++

WS6 T/A would be pretty high on my list for sure. The front end on those, is simply amazing.

Middle aged woman drives one around my neighborhood with a stick. Car is in good shape but never clean. Pretty sure she has no clue what she has.

a neighbors friend has a fast 5 version with a 427 that I have been hoping to get a ride in. It sounds amazing when he thunders by at an idle.....
