What should i do to my 95 mustang gt to try and prevent myself from being stranded?

the only time ive had a problem was with the starter and a disintegrated hose. I havnt had to do too much besides basic maintenance. Pls lmk, anything is helpful thank you.138,000 miles

It's a 30 year old car.. anything rubber is due to be replaced, anything not stock is only as good as the workmanship that was put into it. There's no such thing as a fluid that belongs in a car for more than 10 years.

thank you will do. I have everything for the transmission fluid change except for fluid lol. Crazy how people never change this stuff, not hard.

I would also recommend a fire ext just for the hope that because if you have one you will never need it, but if ya do it is there. I actually am happy that the door cup holder in my new car is just big enough for a small one to fit nice and snug but in the mustang I have one mounted to the floor directly below my legs. I would also recommend a small toolkit. I got one at napa a few years back that is just small case but it would have everything I should need if I do need to to some roadside wrenching. These cars are not getting any younger.....

Appreciate it i already keep alot of tools with me lol. I just wonder what i should be replacing or keep extra in my car so im not left with it not starting from soem bs. Thanks again
