:help2: Well im looking at buying a 98 cobra convertible. I was just wondering if ne1 would know what it would be capable of running. all i know is that it has 4.30 gears, o/r h-pipe and flow cat-back. been lowered 2 inches and has a short shifter. other than that completely stock. I'd appreciate any and all feed back.
Ok so you have about 20 extra rwhp with the exhaust mods and the BIG thing the car has is those 4:30's. With sticky tires there is enough there for low 13's I would say pretty easy. The 96-98 Cobras run upper 13's with good driving so low 13's should be no big task with the gears and a little extra hp at the tires. You should add a coldair kit, headers and a tune if you get it.
On street tires, prolly 13.4-13.8. It will be hard to launch for the first couple of times on those 4.30's. But with DR's, low 13's is possible. Your dyno will be around 275~hp/280tq~
