Sure. This is a Mustang forum, but for many of us there has to be some variety. To be honest, I've never been a fanboy for Ford. Ironic as it sounds, the 1st gen Ranger and the Fox Mustangs are all I've ever really liked. In the last three years, I've come into possession of a Ranger and a SN95... close enough and I actually love my car.

My '94... taken just far enough away to make it look good.
2nd ever Ford. 6th "Convertible". 1st V8 toy.

A less appealing pic with the Mustang and the Ranger in it... the truck came to us from my wife's uncle who passed a several years ago. Nothing super sentimental about it. Just an old truck. Only thing that outnumbers the dents in mileage. Its has crested to the point of "it doesn't matter". It's currently waiting in line behind the Mustang for clear weather and time, to replace the blown out brake lines. 1st ever Ford to call our own.

The wife's Daily? '16 Q3. Its her second Audi. Purchased well used, but also well maintained. 2nd Audi.

When I'm not working... our family ride and trip-rig is this 2020 Ram 1500.
I've been a Mopar owner since I was 16. I have an appreciation of many different makes/models, but this one... this one is mine. ... and I just realized this seems to be the only photo I have of it. 3rd Ram

Then... there is this gutless wonder.
2007 JKU Rubicon. Auto. On 35s. and stock 4.10 gears. Only the tuner keeps it liveable.
This is in fact its most common state. 4th Jeep.

And there are the times when 4 wheels are too many. When times are hard, I work in a visit with my counselor...
2015 Triumph Tiger Explorer. I've been through a lot of bikes to get here.
Wife has a little GZ250 that has a permanent spot in my shop.

When you said Gen 1 Ranger, this is what I was picturing.

Here's the current stable, as represented by my signature! Ever since I bought the Cadillac, I realized it's okay to own both sides of the fence. Which was great when it came time to buy an SUV, because I much prefer the Tahoe over the Expedition.

Have you done anything to that Tahoe? They are uh... very responsive to tuning. A coworker bought an older Diablo Sport Predator tuner. The canned 87 tune with a little fiddling on the transmission side woke that thing up.
I certainly agree with Tahoe vs Expedition. I was forced to drive one for 9 years and 151,000 miles until I blew the engine up in it. That was the single worst vehicle I've ever had to drive on my job.

Nope. I always understood the ranger to be a trim level for the trucks. Again... not a historian, so fully accept being wrong LOL. Only knew of it becoming its own model following the Ford Courier.
Those trucks haver their own appeal, though for sure.

No tuning yet my friend! Although, I have heard the very same thing. From my understanding, the torque management under 30mph or so is the killer. Eric, my tuner, has also told me it'll pick up 30whp with a tune no problem! But, nothing done to it yet. Just the bumper for now, and some miscellaneous creature comfort upgrades on the interior. We're on the fence about doing a turbo on the Tahoe to tow the hearse. My wife is all for it too!

I'm glad you agree on Tahoe vs Expedition with first hand experience lmao! I love the 6-speed in the Tahoe. I think the pushrod V8 is a much better truck engine than the mod motor. My current work truck is a 2021 F-250 with the 7.3L V8. Ford has seen the light.

Phew boy, this will take a bit to get out....

2013 Platty - daily driver, hoping to get a little Civic beater or something in the next couple weeks - drove it over 40k miles last year so pray for my wallet.
89ZnCm&tn=RG_3EP52vMqJlWUp&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

Probably one of my favorite shitboxes, 98 XJ. Pretty mild build, 3.5" Rusty's short arm lift, lot of body trimming, and 33" Goodyear Kevlar MTR's. Drive it to work, to the trails, do some dumb shit like this and drive it home.
nc_ohc=nJSUN4dYvZMAX8C1J7O&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-2.jpg

96 Ram 3500, 12V truck. Had this truck for quite a few years, just a good ole truck. Probably be parting with it soon as the Platty just does literally everything better. But it's fun to drive, makes good choochoo noises. Unmolested, just over 200k miles, grandpa truck.
nc_ohc=_WgIgc-3aoIAX83P5DU&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

03 Vette, it'll actually be going back to its previous owner in the next couple of weeks. H/C/I, bolt-ons, blower - 675whp. Super fun way to melt tires.
-QQTkn&tn=RG_3EP52vMqJlWUp&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

96 Mystic - just a old driver car. Around 100k miles, got some tranny issues that have popped up. It'll be for sale once I fix it.
nc_ohc=t-WPkULRYiMAX_8jg3Y&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

2003 F250, V10 truck. Inherited it from my dad - his old work truck. Been a super reliable ride, I've hauled half the cars I've ever owned with it. Got a good buddy of mine getting ready to buy it from me soon. 320k miles, never missed a lick.
nc_ohc=QvgMrpJ208gAX95POVK&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

67 Fairlane, 390, 4speed car. Dad started restoring it, I inherited it as well. Got a shop full of parts to finish it up, plan to go a bit more restomod with it. This will be a longterm project - hoping to pick up steam on it next year.
nc_ohc=tueSNWVaVi0AX_sA8Lx&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

94 Cobra - biggest pile of crap Mustang I've owned thus far but I'm doing everything I ever wanted to do to a SN95 when I was 16 to this one. Vortech, Microsquirt, GT40 headed motor waiting to get slapped in. Grip Box from MM getting ordered after the Vette sells, True Forged wheels in the corner waiting.
nc_ohc=RwsZUDIkBa8AX-mrV6u&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

60-something - 66? 67? Thunderbird. Future Gambler 500 car. Hoping to shove 31s under it.
_h3fct&tn=RG_3EP52vMqJlWUp&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

64 Country Sedan - been sitting a few years at this point, but I'm just building some more patina. Got a fresh 390 with a stupid cam in it and a few other goodies for it. Another long term project, it's not going anywhere.
nc_ohc=VSMMyLipO5sAX9Hwc-X&_nc_ht=scontent.fmem1-1.jpg

And then the bike, 2001 Husaberg/91 KTM 540DXC motor supermoto neverending project
