I heard lifting the motor up enough to get the oil pan out is the easiest way. If i do it that way do i have to unbolt the tranny?.id have to rent a cherry picker and im kinda tight on money. It leaks about half a quart a week, does oil pan gasket sealer work at all and if it does, does it harm the engine at all? Im gonna be manual swaping my car in a couple months hopefully so ill probably just do it then if i can wait that long.any tips are appreciated thank you

I wouldn't put sealer stuff into the engine oil, I'm suspicious of such stuff. Better to replace the gasket. If you plan to swap the transmission anyways soon you will have your car anyways on a lift or on jackstands. (Always properly support the car with jackstands if you are working under it! Don't go under the car if it is just jacked up, it is not safe.)

Pretty sure i have read that people can do it with an engine support bar as it only needs to come up a little bit? I could be wrong and if someone says I am listen to them not me....

This just goes across the strut tower to hold it in place and then you can move it up a little to clear the K.

People have replaced their K-member with the engine in the car so I expect that would also make it possible to do the pan with the engine in. I haven't done it myself so I can't say so more confidently than that.

I don't think Hope Juice is a solution for leaks.

there was one time that I had a leak and I got under it and just gave each screw another 1/8 of a turn just to snug them up and it sealed it back up.

I am NOT saying to torque them all down to 3 ugga-dugga's, just tighten them up a tad and sometimes what is left will seal still.
Will do ill lyk if this works. Ima be replacing my motor mounts at the same time. Do you think if i still have to replace my oil pan gasket, should i replace the oil pump at the same time since its right there? Its only 60$ for oem one.
