Hey everyone Im new to the Forum but not new to Mustangs. I have recently acquired a 96 Mustang v6 which I plan to transplant a motor into down the line. The car is Crystal white and i plan on keeping it that color. I have a choice between two sets of Rims i want to put on it. The 2003 Cobras or the 1995 Cobra R wheels in chrome. I fancy the R's be cause i can go up to 18's which i like and i plan on running staggered setup.

My question to the forum is what is your recommendation on sizes the 03's which only go up to a 17x10.5 or the 95's which go all the way up to 18x10. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Imo, with either wheel 18s look the best.
I'd get a staggered set. I'd do 9s on the front and do 10 or 10.5 rears.

I think you can gets the Rs in deep dish. If you can, do deep dish rears.

Either will look good, got a pic of the car to post? If you're going to lower it a little bit, go with 18s. If you're going to really drop it like 2+ inches go with 17s imo.

If I had to do it all over again I'd probably grab something that's a Non-Ford design in an 18x9.5 and run a spacer on the rear to keep things flush. My car handled way better with 17x9's and 275's all the way around than it does currently with the staggered 9/10.5's and 275/315's.

Lol I keed I keed

But anyways here's some pix of my piece of shit with R's

When you clean them up they actually look quite nice, and mine are scratched to shit

Honestly I'll probably run bigs and littles if I decide I want to change wheel setups completely. Otherwise I'd like to get some Proxy DR's for the rear R's and then some 15's and slicks for the track

To stick to the question Id pick the 03s over the R's but really you should try to look outside the box of mustang wheels. I know its alittle harder but it pays off when you have a set of wheels not many people have seen on a mustang. Given they arent something too overwhelming.

OEM Saleens, Oem 10th anniversary. Oem 01 Cobra's... get where i am going with this... OEM wheels are far superior to aftermarket wheels unless you pay for a quality wheel.
