As the title states...where do I get the stuff from and whats a good price on it?
I paid like $5 for a can in AutoZone.
Ok, and another retarded question, I want to clean out the carbon and crap, where do I attach it to on the motor?
I believe I disconnected the vaccuum line from my fuel pressure regulator. It sputters a little bit as it's sucking it in. Directions on the can. It works let me tell ya!
yup suck it up thru the vaccume line is the way to go.
ok, if i cant figure it out i'll post again.
good information i always wanted to know both of these questions !!!
I wonder if it would do anything for my cobra since it only has 50K on it? ???
I wouldnt bother.
Ok got the stuff, its in the motor now doing its thing. I'll let you know how it goes.
Whats the verdict? ???
Not sure, cars been running funny lately. Got the cel going on every day. I think it helped though, it felt a little quicker. It looked like I set off a smoke bomb when I started it up.
the smoke is suppose to happen, what exactly is it doing when you say its "running funny" has it been acting like that before you used the foam?
Yup, going to get an obd 1 tester today. Car stalls out on me every once in a while when its cold, did it this morning, battery light came on a few days ago, but haven't seen it since. It doesn't feel as fast as it should be.
could be a vaccume leak?
Anyways ya seafoam is supposed to smoke its clearing out all the carbon/build up. It wont effect/hurt your car.
Codes read that my O2 sensor is detecting a lean condition, thermactor problems and some other egr issue. I'm on my last string with that egr pos, its been nothing but problems for the last two years. One more error code from it and its getting ripped off.
ive been hearing about this seafoam stuff..what is it and whats it used for?
a quick summary................you inject it into your motor, let your car idle while it smokes like a freight train and it cleans all the nasty stuff you dont want in your engine out : its very popular from all the crap i've read about it
haha good summary. pretty much. it cleans out all the built up carbon etc, doesnt do any harm.
